Meeting in 2016 at a Golf Channel Am Tour event at the famed Kiawah Island Ocean Course in South Carolina, Blake Barnes and Brandon Casella realized they shared a love for both golf and smooth drinking, approachable wines from around the world.
Brandon is a US ARMY veteran, and a veteran of the Wine & Spirit Industry, while Blake is a businessman and a serial entrepreneur, with a keen mind for new ventures and a charitable heart. In 2017, Casella-Barnes created 9 Iron Wines, fruit forward California blends that are as smooth and easy as a 9 Iron approach on your own favorite hole.
One from Florida, and one from the Lone Star state, they realized that while golf ran in their veins, so did a love for this country, and providing support to those who have served. In this spirit, as a Veteran Owned Company, a portion of sales benefits the PTSD Foundation of America and its “brick and mortar” facility, CAMP HOPE, in Houston, Texas.
